Democrats deliver with 2023 Candidates

Party provides proven leadership with municipal candidates.
NEW ALBANY, February 3, 2023 – Erica Lawrence, Floyd County Democratic Party Vice Chair, made the following statement regarding today’s municipal candidate filing deadline:

 “The Floyd County Democratic Party is proud to present a proven slate of candidates who deliver results for our community.

 “Under Mayor Jeff Gahan and our other Democratic officials, New Albany has seen unprecedented growth, economic development, and private investment. With over a decade of balanced budgets, critical infrastructure improvements, investments in public safety, and the continued improvement of our quality of life through strong parks, trail enhancements, community amenities and youth programs, New Albany’s future couldn’t be brighter.

 “Our 2023 candidates offer a mix of both veteran officials and well-qualified, first-time candidates. They each have deep roots in our community, understand the struggles of our citizens, and are focused on making our home a better place to live, work and raise a family.

 “Now is not the time to turn back the clock on New Albany’s progress. We look forward to continuing to deliver the best for our community and its citizens.”
