Primary Election Returns – May 3, 2022
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
New Albany Exchange

118 W. Main Street
New Albany, Indiana

Party officials will provide updates on the cumulative results as reported by the Floyd County Clerk’s Office and media outlets.

“In stark contrast to the deep divisions seen in the Republican party, our Democrats stand unified behind our candidates as they move forward in this mid-term election,” noted Party Chair Adam Dickey. “While the Republican supermajority in Indianapolis and Floyd County bends toward extremist positions that use fear, mistrust, and misinformation to wreak our government, erode our liberties, and destroy Hoosier values, our candidates chart a different course.”

“We have faith in our democracy, in our ability to solve our own problems and govern ourselves wisely, and in the belief that each of us have a responsibility to better our local community,” he added.

This year’s Primary Election features contested races for U.S. Congress, County Commissioner, and New Albany Township Board. Other candidates for State Representative, County Council and some township offices are unopposed.

“Our candidates are working hard to earn the support of the public,” added Dickey. “They have deep roots in Floyd County, are well qualified for their positions, and reflect the commonsense values of our community. We encourage all our party members to cast their ballots in this important election and join us Tuesday night for Election Returns.”

The Primary Election Return event is open to the public. For more information on the event or Election Day please contact Floyd County Democratic Party Headquarters at 812-720-2020.
