Floyd Co. Democrats to host Election returns event

Party will meet at the New Albany Elks Lodge
NEW ALBANY, November 1, 2022 – The Floyd County Democratic Party has announced that Democratic candidates and supporters will gather for General Election Returns at the New Albany Elk Lodge on Tuesday, November 8th. Guests will be able to purchase food and drinks as part of the event. Here is the information:

Party officials will provide updates on the cumulative results as reported by the Floyd County Clerk’s Office and media outlets.

“Throughout this campaign our Democratic candidates have been united fighting for our community, its people, and its future,” noted Party Chair Adam Dickey. “While the Republican supermajority in Indianapolis and Floyd County bends toward extremist positions that use fear, mistrust, and misinformation to wreak our government, erode our liberties, and destroy Hoosier values, our candidates chart a different course valuing personal freedom and shared prosperity.”

“We have faith in our democracy, in our ability to solve our own problems and govern ourselves wisely, and in the belief that each of us have a responsibility to better our local community,” he added.

This year’s General Election features contested races for Federal office, Statewide and State Legislative offices, County and Township offices.

“Our candidates are working hard to earn the support of the public,” added Dickey. “They are highly qualified, have deep connections to our County, and reflect the commonsense values of our community. We encourage all citizens to cast their ballots in this important election and join us Tuesday night for Election Returns.”
